I started this baby blanket last year while taking a quilting class. I only went about half the semester due to being pregnant and than miscarrying. So its been sitting here in pieces for a while,but I finally got the top done. I liked how it turned out. And guess what…..I made it out of vintage sheets! I have bought a lot of sheets from thrift stores that I just loved, so I can make some projects with them. That means this quilt cost me around 2 dollars. My teacher wasn’t thrilled that I picked sheets to make my blanket, but hey it was my first quilt, and if it had lasted this long I was sure it would last a little while longer :}

Bountiful baskets
Okay I have been wanting to try this for a while. I heard about Bountiful Baskets last year when my husband was working out of town. Some girls I met at the library in Page told me about it. I got on Bountiful Baskets website and checked to see if they did this in my area. At the time they didn’t so I was a little bummed. Then a month ago or so I was reading You and Me Plus Three’s blog and she was talking about Bountiful Baskets. She also gives you tips on how to get ready for your basket. So I looked again on there website, and it was in my town! It grew a bunch since last year. So this last weekend I picked up my fist basket. Iv got to say I was impressed. And I am a nerd so I wrote down everything I got in my basket and went to the grocery store and checked prices to see how much I was saving buy getting this basket. The basket is 16.50 all together with the handling fee. The total at the store was 36.55 so I'm saving more than half by getting the basket. I'm going to list all the stuff I got so you will be as excited as I am. O and I will post the grocery stores prices.

Kids bag
Yesterday Me and Curly top decided to decorate a canvas bag we bought from Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago. We had lots of fun picking out what designs to do. We cut the design from my silhouette machine. Then I traced it on the fabric and cut it out. (I do realize you can cut fabric with the silhouette, but I couldn’t figure it out so) Then we used heat n bond and ironed every thing on. I made some ruffles for the water. Curly top really loves her bag. Really anything we make for her she loves. This was a cheap project too. The bag was 2.50 and everything else I had at home.
